Calavera Negra

Sumatran beans are very unique with heavy spice and chocolate notes with some prominent earthy flavor that comes through very clean and not unpleasant and grown at 900-1600 meters above sea level.

Blended with Mexican Chiapas from the southern state mountainous region1,000-1,700m near the Guatemalan border, and often labeled with the market name Tapachula, the name of the nearby town.

Volcanoes nearby have provided fertile soil that improves nutrient delivery to the coffees, helping develop their Caramel, toffee to chocolate flavors. These flavors come through all roasts up through to espresso.

Creme Brulee Espresso
We love Guatemalan Coffees and this one is no different. Its front-end sweetness and acidity are complemented by a brown sugary finish that is balanced and delicious.
Antigua: One of Guatemala’s most famous coffee regions, Antigua is home to three volcanoes – Acatenango, Agua, and Fuego.

A combination of the rich volcanic soil and sunny weather, low humidity, cool nights, and elevations ranging from 4,200 to 5,300 feet shapes the local coffee profile. Antiguan coffees are lower in acid, smooth, and sweet, with floral, smoky, spicy, and sometimes chocolatey notes; they’re great in blends but also equally fantastic single-origin brews.
